Popcorn is Pack 38's largest fundraiser each year. The money raised helps pay for awards, activities, program supplies and Pack equipment while keeping dues as low as possible.
The more popcorn our Scouts sell, the more we can provide. In years with strong fundraising, we're able to purchase additional adventure awards and invest in even more fun activities for our Scouts.
Approximately 30-35% of every purchase stays with Pack 38 to support our local Scouting program. Your support helps fund awards, activities, camping equipment and supplies that directly benefit our Scouts.
Customers can pay with cash or credit cards using the Trail's End app.
The Trail's End app allows you to securely accept credit card payments right from your phone, making it easy for customers who don't carry cash.
Absolutely! Every Scout receives their own personalized online storefront through Trail's End.
You can share your Scout's link by text, email or social media, allowing friends and family across the country to support your Scout.
Money collected during storefront sales is not kept by the Scout or family. At the end of each storefront shift, all collections should be placed in the provided blue money envelope, along with a paper form, and turned in to the storefront coordinator.
Specific collection dates and additional instructions will be shared throughout the sale.
Yes! Selling with a buddy is a great way to build confidence and have fun.
For storefronts, Scouts often work together during scheduled shifts. If selling door-to-door, we encourage Scouts to sell with a parent or guardian and, when possible, with another Scout family.
No. Selling popcorn is optional, but it is our primary fundraiser and helps keep dues lower while supporting Pack activities throughout the year.
Storefront sign-ups will be shared through the Trails End App. Choose the dates and times that work best for your family.
Scouts should wear their Class A (field) uniform whenever possible. A neat appearance and a smile go a long way!
Contact the Popcorn Kernel via text or the pack email. We'll help you restock as inventory allows.
Customers can purchase a donation option through Trail's End, allowing popcorn to be donated to military members and first responders while still supporting your Scout.
